Why have these baby monitors been recalled?
These Philips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitors are being recalled from across the country due to fire hazard concerns. Over 12,000 of these baby monitors have been sold across the United States between March 2016 and January 2020.
The affected monitors may have an overheating issue that could result in a fire hazard.
What are the reported injuries to date?
To date, Philips has received 23 reports of their Philips Avent video baby monitors overheating in Europe, including seven reports of minor injuries.

My thoughts
I wonder what kind of quality control is happening globally to products these days. Clearly in this case, these monitors were having issues in Europe and there were "minor injuries".
Thankfully Philips proactively recalled them.
Please share, these monitors are likely to be found at thrift stores, garage sales, Facebook Marketplace, etc. as haven't been sold at stores since 2020.
