In a recent consumer product advisory, Health Canada has raised concerns about the safety of Rojada Child Safety Seats, warning that they may pose a significant risk of injury to children.

Rojada Auto Child Safety Seat Mat Simple Car Portable Seat Belt

The alert specifically involves the Rojada Auto Child Safety Seat Mat Simple Car Portable Seat Belt, which is designed as a strong car seat cover for children and baby car seats.

The product is suitable for toddlers, babies, and short people and is available in a coffee color in a larger size.

The Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) for this product is B0BVB62QC5.

What are the safety concerns

Health Canada's investigation has determined that the use of these child safety seat restraints in a motor vehicle could amplify the risk of injury in the event of a collision.

A significant concern is that these products do not display Transport Canada's National Safety Mark, indicating that they have not been certified to meet the safety requirements of the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations.

As a result, the use of these restraints in a motor vehicle would be considered illegal under provincial and territorial highway regulations.

What Consumers Should Do

Health Canada is advising consumers who have purchased the affected product to immediately cease its use.

The product should be safely disposed of in a manner that ensures it cannot be reused.

Sales Information

The Rojada Child Safety Seat was sold online on Amazon.ca. Following the advisory, the product has been removed from sale on the website.

Health Canada has been in contact with the foreign third-party sellers to address the issue. Amazon reported that 99 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.
